Following the positive reaction from our partners to our latest labeling opportunity for potted fruit and vegetable plants, the GGN label is now announcing a further category: cut/mixed fruit and vegetables. This will include items such as mixed lettuce leaves, frozen vegetable medleys, and fruit salads.
The new category is similar to the GGN label for cut/mixed aquaculture products, which is available for both fresh and frozen items ranging from seafood platters to frozen salmon.
Cut/mixed fruit and vegetables
As a result of our modern, on-the-go lifestyles, many consumers are now craving convenience without wanting to compromise on fresh and healthy ingredients. This has led to preprepared fruit and vegetables – precut and/or mixed fruit and vegetables which may be fresh or frozen – becoming a fast-growing food category.
With the GGN label, choosing responsibly produced, plant-based convenience food has never been more accessible.
